Empowering High School Learners: Special Education Teacher - Soliant Education (Westmoreland, NH Area)

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in the friendly Westmoreland, NH area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to empower high school students by providing exceptional educational experiences in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs and learning styles of high school students with disabilities.
  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction aligned with state standards and curriculum frameworks, utilizing a variety of instructional materials and strategies.
  • Create a positive and differentiated learning environment that fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and social-emotional development in high school students.
  • Provide targeted interventions and support to address individual student needs and learning gaps, promoting academic success and independence.
  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • municate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and collaborate on educational goals.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and evaluate the effectiveness of instruction to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education for high school students.

Qualifications:

  • New Hampshire State Teaching License with a specialization in Special Education or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with high school students with disabilities in a general education or special education setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development, special education law and practices, and differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs, curriculum design, and data-driven instruction for high school students.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment that motivates and inspires high school students with diverse needs.
