We are seeking a highly skilled Threat Investigator to join our Intelligence & Investigations team at OpenAI. As a Threat Investigator, you will play a critical role in detecting and disrupting malicious uses of our platform, particularly in the area of influence operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and Disrupt Malicious Activity: Conduct thorough investigations to identify and disrupt abusive operations on our platform, working closely with our policy, legal, and security teams.
- Develop Abuse Signals and Tracking Strategies: Create and implement effective strategies to detect and track bad actors on our platform, utilizing your expertise in technical investigations and data analysis.
- Communicate Investigation Findings: Present your findings to stakeholders both internally and externally, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Work closely with our engineering teams to improve our data and tooling, ensuring that our platform remains safe and secure for our users.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in technical investigations, particularly using SQL and Python.
- Language Skills: Fluency in at least one additional language, ideally Chinese or Farsi, in addition to English.
- Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of experience tracking threat actors or influence operations, with a strong understanding of the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by malicious actors.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
