Maintenance Mechanic

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the Plating Department. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining building systems, machinery, and mechanical equipment. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Repair and maintain building systems, machinery, and mechanical equipment
- Conduct minor and major plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing hoses
- Inspect plumbing and fixtures for corrosion, condition, and security, and make repairs as needed
- Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose defective equipment, and make repairs or replace parts as needed
- Use meters, welding equipment, machine tools, and hand tools to repair machinery and equipment
- Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Initiate material order requests for parts and machines
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 8, 24, and 40 hour HAZWOPER training a plus
