Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at CHI St. Joseph Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks associated with the operation of Nuclear Medicine scanners and related equipment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience.
  • Act professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
  • Coordinate and participate in a variety of technical procedures, including in vivo and in vitro studies, and operate radiation detection and measurement instrumentation.
  • Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients, and formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.
  • Process computerized image data, including function curves and reconstructed SPECT images.
  • Perform Nuclear Cardiology studies, including image acquisition, processing, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Assist in quality assurance programs relating to calibration and maintenance of equipment, and act in a team leader capacity.
  • Assist with the education and training of new physicians, and consult with physicians concerning the application of nuclear medicine procedures and techniques.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Education: Associates Degree, Allied Health or Radiologic Technology, completion of AMA accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (N) or NMTCB(CNMT).
  • Texas MRT.
