Job Summary

The Housekeeping Team Member at MCR Hotels is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in our hotels. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Preparation of Guest Rooms: Follow company and brand procedures to ensure guest rooms are cleaned and prepared to a high standard.
  • Pre-Cleaning Duties: Complete tasks such as stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
  • Trash and Linen Removal: Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
  • Repetitive Duties: Perform repetitive tasks such as bed making and bathroom cleaning.
  • Deep Cleaning Activities: Conduct deep cleaning activities as needed within the guest room in conjunction with the maintenance department.
  • Guest Interaction: Interact with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Attendance and Appearance: Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling and maintain company and brand standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Room Cleaning and Restocking: Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms as assigned per shift.
  • Special Requests: Complete any special requests made by guests or other departments on the behalf of guests.
  • Maintenance Issues: Report any maintenance issues or lost and found items to supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • Positive Attitude: Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Effective Communication: Must have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to stand/walk the entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
  • Stress Management: Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekend based on the demands of the hotel.
  • Information Conveyance: Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Guest Service: Must have a desire to serve all guests.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hotel Experience: Experience cleaning in a hotel or a related field is preferred.
