Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Bakery Team Member to join our team. As a Bakery Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, following recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes/make-up instructions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate with members of the team, and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind.
  • Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures, ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Be an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest possible level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.
  • Must be a problem solver who tackles obstacles head-on to ensure each task is completed with excellence.

Hourly Wage Range

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
