Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Mentorship: 32 hours per week devoted to residency program administration, clinical supervision, instruction, and mentorship of residents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty members to develop, implement, and evaluate the family medicine residency curriculum, ensuring alignment with current best practices and accreditation requirements.
  • Clinical Care: Maintain an active clinical practice in family medicine, providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
  • Scholarship and Research: Engage in scholarly activities, including research, quality improvement projects, and academic presentations/publications.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certification: Board certification in Family Medicine required.
  • Licensure: Eligibility for medical licensure in California.
  • Experience: Prior experience teaching medical students and/or residents preferred, as well as experience providing patient care in a rural or underserved area.
