About the Role

The Child Care Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in helping families access affordable child care services. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for completing, receiving, processing, and reviewing eligibility for the California Department of Education and Department of Human Services-CalWORKs I, II, III programs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Enroll and recertify families in accordance with California Department of Education and Department of Human Services-CalWORKs I, II, III guidelines.
  2. Interview clients to obtain information and documentation necessary to make eligibility and need determinations.
  3. Provide technical assistance to child care providers and parents.
  4. Calculate family fees as indicated by the family fee schedule and inform clients of family fee policies and procedures.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an intake/eligibility worker or 3 years work experience in a clerical or office setting.

Earn a competitive salary of $22,000 - $29,000 per year, depending on experience.
