Job Summary:

At XtraStaff, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As the HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in overseeing all facets of human operations and safety within the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring workplace safety, recruiting, retention, and employee development. You will be tasked with enhancing talent acquisition strategies, overseeing HR initiatives, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Department Leaders to address unique employee needs and challenges effectively.
• Lead Safety Initiatives, including heading the safety committee and conducting monthly safety meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure Compliance with labor laws, EEO regulations, and other mandates, working closely with an HR Consultant.
• Develop Hiring Strategies to attract and hire top talent, and manage the recruitment process from job descriptions to onboarding/offboarding.
• Conduct Background Checks, including reference checks, job offers, and maintaining a talent pool for future needs.
• Oversee Onboarding/Offboarding, including exit interviews and managing the onboarding process for new hires.
• Handle Employee Relations, acting as the primary contact for employee concerns and resolving disputes.
• Ensure Policy Compliance, working with the HR Consultant to update policies and handle workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and NEOC cases.
• Facilitate Performance Management, leading weekly discussions on staffing needs and monitoring team attendance.
• Oversee and manage the company's compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, compliant, and effectively administered.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a HR Generalist or Talent Acquisition or a comparable HR role. Comprehensive understanding of labor legislation and HR best practices. Exceptional skills in recruitment and talent acquisition. Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficient in resolving problems and mediating conflicts. Skilled in HR software and the Microsoft Office Suite. Committed to maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information with discretion. Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
