Position Overview: Reporting to the Salon Supervisor, the Senior Nail Care Specialist plays a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the daily functions of the Nail and Beauty Salon team. This includes imparting knowledge and expertise in nail care services, techniques, beauty trends, and health and safety protocols for manicures and pedicures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their comfort while delivering top-tier nail services that incorporate both basic and advanced techniques, all while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all nail and beauty care services offered, including product ingredients and their benefits, to effectively address guest inquiries.
- Lead by example in preparing nail stations and ensuring tools are cleaned and sterilized according to approved sanitization procedures.
- Engage with guests to identify any medical or allergy concerns, fostering a genuine sense of care for their comfort and safety.
- Assist in scheduling team members and manage opening and closing duties for Salon Services, ensuring cleanliness and safety across all Spa facilities.
- Collaborate with management to enhance and define the beauty Salon's service offerings and overall concept.
- Uphold enterprise and departmental policies and procedures, assisting in the oversight of daily operations, including product receiving and compliance with training requirements.
- Support the promotion and maintenance of a strong loyalty wellness membership.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a licensed and certified Nail Technician in California is required.
- Two (2) years of customer service experience is essential.
- One (1) year of experience in an entry-level management role is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization are necessary.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance applications, are required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must meet the minimum training and curriculum standards as mandated by California state and local regulations. Additionally, obtaining and maintaining a gaming license may be required at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
