Job Summary

The Assembler I performs assembly work to manufacture assemblies and products in a cost-effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. This role involves validating material prior to beginning assembly, reviewing work instructions, building product per specifications and within tolerances, completing all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations, and wearing all appropriate PPE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learning the principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline, developing the business knowledge required of the full job.
  • Suggesting and implementing improvements of existing equipment and/or designs to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Performing safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
  • Working is supervised daily or weekly with assignments that encompass a well-defined set of tasks, following established procedures, processes, or policies.
  • Accepting responsibility for own actions, following through on commitments.
  • Participating in team meets and exchanging job-related information.
  • Demonstrating attendance, quality, and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
