About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our Radiology Department on a casual/PRN basis. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exam Performance/Quality: Conduct ultrasound exams with precision and accuracy, ensuring high-quality images and reports.
- Workflow Management: Manage exam schedules, prioritize tasks, and maintain a smooth workflow in the Radiology Department.
- Systems/Cerner: Utilize Cerner systems to document patient information, exam results, and other relevant data.
- Department Policy/Procedures: Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and quality care.
- Clinical Enrichment: Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Optimal Patient Experience: Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a positive experience throughout the diagnostic process.
Requirements:
- Education: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or board eligible required. Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program required.
- Experience: One year general and vascular Sonography preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or board eligible required. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential is required within one year of employment date.
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients and hospital personnel. Ability to organize work and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Attends mandatory inservices and continuing education programs.
