Parts Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:The Parts Inventory Control Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions. This position is responsible for receiving and recording new parts inventory, maintaining parts databases, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Receives and records new parts inventory, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the inventory system.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures, complying with codes and regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, such as reading about new products and technologies.
- Assists the Parts Manager in processing weekly stock orders and placing daily parts orders.
- Ensures that credits are received for returned parts, removing returned parts from inventory after credits are received.
- Provides necessary information to the Warranty Department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.
- Matches purchase orders and invoices, approves, and forwards to the accounting office.
- Files company copies of parts counter invoices.
- Assists in preparing for annual parts inventory.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- One year of experience in a dealership position (preferred).
- Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
- Ability to use parts department computer system and calculator.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
