Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Manager to join our team at Mount Holyoke College. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.

• Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our students, faculty, and staff.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure that all food and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.
• Supervise and train a team of cooks, servers, and other food service staff to ensure that they are providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
• Collaborate with the production manager to maintain food costs within budget and ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure that all food service areas are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
• Participate in management meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to food service.

• 5+ years of experience in a culinary management role, preferably in a college or university setting.
• Proven track record of success in menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of staff and students.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, and the ability to maintain a clean and safe food service environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
