Position Overview:

FLEX College Prep is on the lookout for enthusiastic professionals to educate young learners in elementary and middle school. The subjects covered include Scratch, Python, Skylark, and Vidcode. Instructors will be responsible for developing unique curricula, conducting live or recorded sessions, and playing a vital role in the enhancement of our educational offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Technology Education Facilitator, you will:

  • Provide personalized assistance to students, both individually and in small groups, within our FLEX Online Prep Kids Coding Programs.
  • Create and tailor lesson plans and curricula to deliver focused, individualized academic support.
  • Maintain detailed records of sessions to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to reach their academic aspirations.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a hybrid model, allowing flexibility while requiring candidates to be located within a specified distance from the main office.


Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and/or HTML.
  • Familiarity with Scratch, Skylark, and/or VidCode.
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with young students, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Background in teaching computer science or data science courses, whether formally or informally.
