Job Summary:

The Sterile Supply Associate will play a vital role in the daily operation of the department, contributing to the development of processes and procedures for the care and assembly of surgical instruments. This position will supervise and evaluate subordinate staff, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include orienting, training, and supervising new staff, as well as scheduling and assigning work tasks. Regular participation in quality assurance meetings and initiatives is also expected.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree and 1 year of experience in Surgical Technology or Sterile Processing in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment, as well as sterile processing principles.
  • Previous supervisory and administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire date.
Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays based on operational needs.
