About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Medical Technician to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Mobile Medical Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with physical exams, point-of-care testing, treatments, and data gathering in a home healthcare setting.
  • Work at the direction of a virtual DispatchHealth Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Utilize strong organizational and customer service skills to ensure seamless patient interactions and care delivery.
  • Participate in extensive on-the-job training to develop expertise in delivering hospital-level healthcare in a home setting.
Requirements
  • EMT certification with NREMT, or EMT-B (per state requirements) in good standing, OR Paramedic OR Medical Assistant.
  • Minimum one (1) year patient-facing experience.
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an i-STAT device, are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • BLS, American Heart Association.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily while carrying equipment.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills.
  • Previous experience with comprehensive history gathering and documentation within EMR.
  • Previous experience with basic procedural skills.
  • Cultural competency - ability to interact with patients and families and develop rapport and trust, ability to communicate and provide verbal professional clinical presentations/summaries.
  • Function autonomously and as part of a team to responsibly deliver care with flexibility and open-mindedness.
  • Continuous learner with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends required.
