The Department of Public Health is seeking a highly skilled Health Facilities Evaluator Nurse to conduct inspections, investigations, and evaluations of health facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections and investigations of health facilities to identify areas of non-compliance
- Evaluate the quality of care provided by healthcare facilities
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified deficiencies
- Provide guidance and education to healthcare facility administrators and staff on regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure consistent enforcement of regulations
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare quality assurance or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
This position requires extensive travel to healthcare facilities throughout the state. The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
