Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broadcast Engineer to join our team as the Associate Director of Broadcast Engineering. This is a full-time position that will provide engineering and technical support for Oklahoma Athletics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate broadcast equipment and control rooms for SoonerVision productions, including studio shows, live game broadcasts, and in-arena productions.
  • Manage video and broadcast equipment, including cameras, audio, replay, switchers, graphics, fiber, and cabling.
  • Provide live event support for on-site technical help and facility/venue connectivity management.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and Field Engineer to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist the Coordinating Producer with organizational operations, including gear reconciliation, storage facility and archive management, studio sets, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 24 months of experience in creative media, sports production, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment with irregular hours, nights, weekends, and travel.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of industry experience in the broadcast industry or functional equivalent as a student-worker, part-time, or full-time capacity.
  • Previous experience working in a college or professional sports environment.
  • Strong initiative, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Working knowledge of university, conference, and NCAA rules.
