Job Summary

We are seeking an Orthopedic Physician to join our team at the Chico VA Outpatient Clinic. As an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services to our nation's veterans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient orthopedic care to all scheduled and limited walk-in patients, including invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  • Participate in consult/referral review, triage, and forwarding/initiating of referrals/consults as clinically indicated.
  • Manage the most effective delivery of state-of-the-art local outpatient orthopedic care.
Requirements
  • United States citizenship.
  • Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 2-day workweek (16 hours). The incumbent will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to lift 15-44 pounds, push (approx. 2 hours), reach above shoulder, use fingers and both hands, walk and stand from 3-5 hours, and kneel.
