Amentum is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team in the field of IED exploitation and analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in radio frequency (RF) test and characterization, as well as experience with testing and characterizing electrical components of IEDs and/or Software Defined Radios (SDR).
Key Responsibilities- Perform RF Test and Characterization: Conduct benchtop RF measurements using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other equipment to identify and characterize electronic devices and components.
- Identify and Analyze IED Components: Use standard operating procedures to identify, capture, analyze, and characterize electronic devices and components from IED circuit boards for arming, firing, and source characteristics.
- Develop Device Profiles: Create technical reports on findings and develop device profiles to assist in profiling and signature analysis.
- Support Countermeasures Development: Assist in the development of countermeasures for electronic devices/signals.
- Document Exploitation Results: Document all exploitation results in required outputs, including component lists, circuit layouts, mechanical drawings, or in tools like WEAT.
- Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a radio frequency (RF) test environment and characterizing electronic components for intelligence products and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
- Skills: Strong background in RF test and characterization, experience with testing and characterizing electrical components of IEDs and/or SDR, and proficiency in using laboratory measuring equipment, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and associated instrumentation.
