Diesel Mechanic Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Supervisor to join our team at Clean Harbors in Benicia, CA. As a key member of our safety-conscious team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our shop, ensuring that all maintenance work is completed efficiently and effectively.
About the Role:
As a Diesel Mechanic Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising all maintenance work, maintaining company fleet within DOT compliance, and ensuring accurate service and parts records. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing failures & deficiencies, performing necessary corrections, and conducting offsite road repairs/service calls. You will also be responsible for daily checklist completion, unit maintenance duties, and communicating any problems or issues with the unit immediately upon discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes. * Perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, troubleshoots, diagnoses failures & deficiencies & perform necessary corrections. * Complete daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated. * Assure unit has daily maintenance duties performed and communicates any problems or issues with the unit immediately upon discovery. * Conducts Safety Checks & Annual Vehicle Inspections in accordance with provincial & federal laws. * Assure that Equipment is properly parked in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements. * Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures. * Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment. * Performs other assignments as assigned by management. * Understands Clean Compliance Standard.
Requirements:
5-7 years of diesel engine experience
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, engines, etc. Additionally, you must be able to work in a team environment, demonstrate complete proficiency in diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty units, and pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.
