Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, providing accurate and timely results.
- Verify insurance information with parents/guardians and document hearing screen results accurately.
- Follow protocol for timely submission of billing and maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to infection control, safety awareness, and other hospital, company, and program policies.
- Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, in a timely manner.
- Complete company and hospital orientation or classes, including patient privacy training.
- Meet employee health requirements and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Experience working with infants is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry are necessary.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments, work independently, and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays is required.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift) and push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
