POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a part-time Facility Maintenance Associate responsible for cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting as directed by supervisory staff. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including surrounding areas and parking lots.
The Facility Maintenance Associate will also assist in kitchen duties, which include cooking rice, preparing hot beverages, and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and organized, especially during special events and holidays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas as instructed by the supervisor.
- Assist with food preparation, including rice cooking and beverage service.
- Work hours may vary based on the needs of the organization and scheduled events, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or English is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated time management skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
- Capability to grasp, push, and pull objects as needed.
- Ability to reach overhead and operate a telephone.
- Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to process written, visual, and verbal information.
- Familiarity with basic office equipment such as PCs, fax machines, telephones, calculators, copiers, and printers.
