Job Description

This position is located in Oklahoma and offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

Oklahoma Human Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Welfare Specialist to join our team. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse or neglect, protecting the safety of children, and providing services to help families overcome barriers that put their children at risk.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for social work and a commitment to creating pathways to hope for all Oklahomans. You will work closely with families, communities, and other stakeholders to provide support and resources that promote the well-being and safety of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate allegations of child abuse or neglect and provide services to help families overcome barriers that put their children at risk.
  • Protect the safety of children and provide support to families in need.
  • Work closely with families, communities, and other stakeholders to provide resources and support that promote the well-being and safety of children.
  • Participate in investigations, assessments, and case planning to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive services to families and children.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • One year of experience in child welfare or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
