Job Summary

As a key member of our production team, the Assistant Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This individual will assist the Production Supervisor in establishing production priorities, overseeing production activities, and implementing quality control measures to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the coordination of production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control teams to optimize production and resource utilization.
  • Review and discuss production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor production metrics and complete monthly reports to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that production employees adhere to company policies and procedures, and that workstations are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Assist in the implementation of operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve metrics.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Ability to devise and implement strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills, with proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, and email skills.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
