Job Summary

As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you will provide clinical support to healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate efficient and effective patient flow, including preparing patients for visits and providing specific services and education as determined by providers.
  • Perform administrative duties to ensure all information is current and updated, including maintenance and monitoring of electronic health records.
  • Maintain and clean the environment, work area, equipment, and communicate any equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate with patients and families in a manner consistent with caring and respect, and collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Collect and monitor patient data, reporting patient data and needs as directed, and document care consistent with documentation guidelines.
  • Engage in process and quality improvement activities to ensure that processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent required within 120 days of hire.

  • Sitting: Seldom.
Work Environment

This role is located at the Southwestern Medical Clinic Cleveland Ave - Stevensville, and is part-time with a 24-hour weekly schedule. The ideal candidate will be available to work Wednesday to Friday, with no weekend frequency.
