Job Opportunity at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a faculty member in the HIV Research Pillar. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HIV-related research and a commitment to teaching and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in HIV prevention, treatment, and health services, with a focus on underserved populations
  • Teach and mentor students in the health professions
  • Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement research projects
  • Participate in academic programs and committees, as well as other university service activities
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or M.D. in a relevant field, with a strong background in HIV-related research
  • Experience in teaching and mentorship, with a focus on underserved populations
  • Strong research skills, with a track record of securing funding and publishing research
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and trainees
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a shared governance environment
  • Track record of research funding and experience with proposal development, management, and statistical analysis
  • Established and active research agenda, with a strong publication record
