Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's systems and structures, with a focus on preventative maintenance and HVAC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs to air conditioning systems, equipment maintenance, and plumbing repairs.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment, including boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
  • Test and record equipment readings, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, and fixtures as required.
  • Perform furniture repair and replacement, and maintain repair and maintenance records.
  • Understand and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Trace and repair water lines, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment issues.
  • Maintain work to local, state, and federal codes, and test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
  • Paint designated areas, and repair and finish sheet rock.
  • Repair all types of wall coverings, and repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial or institutional maintenance, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills, with a focus on preventative maintenance.
  • Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
  • Certification in pool operation preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
  • Preventative maintenance background preferred.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
