Job Overview
This position plays a vital role in promoting health and wellness through exercise and physical activity interventions in the cardiac rehabilitation program.
As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, you will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement exercise programs tailored to individual needs.
Conducting assessments, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and education are essential responsibilities in helping patients achieve their health and rehabilitation goals.
In collaboration with physicians and other therapists, specialized exercises are integrated into the care plan.
Responsibilities
Assists with the planning, administration, and direction of daily activities of the Cardiac Rehabilitation and EECP Programs.
Develops a treatment plan that includes a problem list and established patient goals based on the individual patient's risk factor profile, functional capacity, potential for improvement, and personal goals.
Performs EECP testing with cardiac monitoring in collaboration with cardiac rehab nurse.
Develops, implements, and evaluates a PI plan for cardiac rehab based on MACVR recommendations in conjunction with the Director.
Ensures adequate updates are made to the patient's medical record to validate appropriate charges.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physiology, or a related field is required.
One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
