JOB DESCRIPTION

Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Services Technician (ICSS) to be part of our dedicated team in the environmental services sector. This position involves active fieldwork, executing tasks related to hazardous waste management, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and the safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Up to 40% overnight travel, accommodations and per diem provided
  • Valid Driver's License is mandatory
  • Work schedule from Monday to Friday, typically starting at 6 am
  • Workdays generally last 8-10+ hours, with overtime applicable after 40 hours
  • On-call duties as required

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to policies and procedures
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items
  • Operate various light and heavy machinery, utilizing hand tools and powered industrial equipment
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately, including respirators and other safety gear
  • Work in diverse environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors
  • Handle materials in environments with potential exposure to hazardous substances
  • Manage tasks in elevated noise levels and confined spaces
  • Participate in field sampling and calibration of measurement devices
  • Climb ladders and scaffolding, and navigate various containers
  • Work extended hours as necessary
  • Attend compliance and safety meetings regularly
  • Inspect containers for integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as needed
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Operate vehicles safely in accordance with all applicable laws
  • Follow corporate guidelines and safety protocols
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Be available for emergency response on a rotating on-call basis
  • Handle site remediation and decontamination tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as outlined in the responsibilities
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations, including weekends and holidays
  • Successful completion of background checks, drug tests, and physical assessments
  • Compliance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standards

  • Previous experience in a related labor position
