Job Summary

This position plays a vital role in providing high-quality respiratory care to patients at Phoenix Children's. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner II, you will be responsible for administering respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and administer respiratory care to patients, ensuring that care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain all skills and knowledge sufficient to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to patients from neonate to adolescent.
  • Participate in executing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
  • Post-graduation experience in a hospital environment (preferred).
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) membership (preferred).
  • Current PALS certification (preferred).
