Job Description

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to adolescents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Safely perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines, and policies.
  2. Patient Education: Interact with and explain care modalities to patients, families, and the healthcare team in an understandable manner based on individual diversity and learning styles.
  3. Clinical Status Reports: Accurately and reliably interpret and communicate patient data, providing thorough patient clinical status reports to applicable members of the healthcare team.
  4. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess patients' clinical status, evaluate progress towards goals, and recommend courses of action.
  5. Critical Thinking and Problem Resolution: Analyze critical situations and apply appropriate judgment and critical thinking for problem resolution.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve and take the initiative to develop knowledge and skills through appropriate learning experiences and opportunities.
  7. Teamwork and Leadership: Work effectively in a team-based environment, especially during stressful situations involving quickly changing priorities, and display appropriate leadership skills to instill trust and credibility.
  8. Time Management and Productivity: Manage multiple priorities and apply effective time management skills, using downtime for work-related activities.
