Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Possess or acquire a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of employment
State certification, or the ability to obtain certification in brakes and electrical systems within 6 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in school bus or heavy vehicle repair

Job Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on school buses and related vehicles.
2. Execute repair tasks efficiently and effectively.
3. Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
4. Interpret and utilize repair manuals.
5. Complete work orders, manage maintenance parts inventory, and other job-related documentation with clear handwriting and accurate spelling.
6. Foster positive relationships with students and colleagues.
7. Serve as a substitute bus driver when required, ensuring safe and timely transportation of students.
8. Assist the Transportation Director as needed.
9. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Transportation Director.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting at $20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience; subject to contract negotiations.
