About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Grocery Sales Associate to join our team at Farmshop Santa Monica. As a key member of our checkout team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet Customers Warmly: Greet customers with a smile and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Process Transactions Accurately: Ring up sales accurately using our POS system and handle cash and credit card transactions with precision.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Checkout Area: Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked, including replenishing bags and supplies as needed.
  • Provide Product Information and Answer Customer Inquiries: Provide product information and answer customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating a strong knowledge of our products and services.
  • Assist with Reconciling Cash Drawers and Preparing Daily Deposits: Assist with reconciling cash drawers and preparing daily deposits, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with Other Team Members: Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth flow of operations and exceptional customer service, upholding our standards of hospitality and professionalism.
  • Follow Cash Handling Procedures and Security Protocols: Follow all cash handling procedures and security protocols to minimize loss and ensure accuracy, maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers.
Qualifications
  • Previous Experience as a Cashier or in a Customer Service Role: Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong Numerical Skills and Attention to Detail: Strong numerical skills and attention to detail are essential for accurately processing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
