Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our outpatient primary care clinics. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing comprehensive medical services to insured and uninsured children and adults, with a focus on addressing barriers to accessing care due to income, language, cultural, and social factors.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in family medicine and be able to work effectively in a team-based environment. You will be responsible for delivering services under the supervision of the attending physician and participating in on-call rotations with other clinic providers. Additionally, you will be required to maintain quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in outpatient primary care clinics
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Participate in on-call rotations with other clinic providers
  • Maintain quarterly AHA RQI competency certification
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care clinic or community health center
  • Hold an academic degree and completion of a specialized Physician Assistant Training Program
  • Successful completion of a national physician assistant examination prior to being licensed by the Physician Assistant Board in California
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in good standing from the California State Physician Assistant Board
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
  • Satisfactory report from the National Practitioner Data Bank
  • Ability to successfully meet Dignity Health's credentialing and privileging processes upon hire and biannually thereafter
  • BLS certification
  • PA license

  • Ability to verbally communicate in Spanish
