Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Kingwood Pines Hospital. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our psychiatric services.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs. This includes assessing patients' mental health status, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and monitoring patient responses
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Document patient progress and outcomes
  • Participate in milieu management and crisis intervention strategies
Requirements:
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required; BSN preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas required
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience required; psychiatric nursing experience preferred
  • CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work
