Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our oncology team at Tennessee Oncology. This individual will be responsible for coordinating patient care, assisting healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate medical records.

About the Position
  • This full-time position requires a strong foundation in medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • We offer a competitive salary of $48,000 - $58,000 per year, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including collecting vital signs and conducting basic physical assessments.
  2. Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including administering medications and performing routine medical procedures.
  3. Develop and maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  5. Participate in infection control and prevention protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program or hold a certificate from a recognized accrediting agency.
