Job Responsibilities:
* Provide immediate and skilled nursing care to patients in the emergency room, triaging and prioritizing care based on the severity of the patient's condition.
* Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients experiencing medical emergencies, such as trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other critical conditions.
* Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders, ensuring timely and accurate care.
* Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive emergency care and ensure continuity of care.
* Perform advanced nursing procedures such as wound care, suturing assistance, CPR, intubation assistance, and other life-saving interventions.
* Educate patients and families on follow-up care, discharge instructions, and ongoing treatment plans, ensuring they understand the next steps in their care journey.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatments, medications, and progress in electronic health records (EHR).
* Respond to and manage critical situations, including code blues and other emergency protocols, following established hospital guidelines.

Requirements:
* Strong understanding of emergency nursing care, trauma management, and critical care interventions.
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Proficiency in performing advanced nursing procedures and responding to life-threatening emergencies.
* Active [STATE] Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Emergency Room Nurse or in a similar role.
* Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
* Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
* Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
* Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
* Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
