Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Service Representative to provide exceptional customer service to our patients and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering incoming calls, responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, and directing callers to the appropriate staff for assistance. Additionally, the Patient Service Representative will work within our electronic medical records system, collect patient payments, and balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries
  • Schedule appointments and direct callers to the appropriate staff for assistance
  • Work within our electronic medical records system
  • Collect patient payments and apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts
  • Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers
  • Perform additional daily administrative tasks based on practice specialty

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of customer service experience required
  • 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
