We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing technical procedures and assisting in the clinical evaluation and care of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and mammography.
- Assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients, including preparing patients for procedures and providing support during exams.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Enter patient data into computer systems accurately and efficiently.
- Check and document patient histories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Act as a mentor and preceptor to new staff and students, providing guidance and support in imaging procedures and patient care.
- Support teaching and continue learning as technology changes, staying up-to-date on the latest imaging techniques and modalities.
- Vocational School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be a graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program.
- Must hold current New York State registration or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York.
This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
Reasonable efforts, consistent with Albany Medical Center policies and standards, shall be made to ensure that information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.
