Job Summary

Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team in the Adult Cardiac Cath Lab. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing technical procedures and assisting in the clinical evaluation and care of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of the peri-procedural process, ensuring seamless execution of diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Manipulate procedural instrumentation under the direct supervision of the Interventional Cardiologist, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Manage supplies and equipment necessary during invasive cardiology procedures, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Anticipate the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist, providing proactive support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain a sterile field, adhering to strict protocols to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
  • Function independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision of a senior technologist in the scrub role during advanced and highly complex procedures, and function as a circulator under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  • Participate in emergency on-call duties, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Medical Imaging from an accredited institution.
  • Certification via successful passing result on ARRT registry exam.
