We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Director to join our team at Orion Engineering, Inc. This is a permanent opportunity based in our Hebron location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our safety coordinator/inspector to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Field Service Team Management: Direct and effectively manage the Field Service team to ensure efficient execution of service jobs and maximize profitability.
  • Lab Management: Direct and effectively manage our Lab and its processes to ensure high-quality results and efficient operations.
  • Service Activities: Direct all service activities within the company and ensure growth of the company's sales through effective coordination with the sales team.
  • Strategic Planning: Coordinate with the sales team and senior management to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth.
  • Team Development: Develop your team to execute customer training and ensure effective communication with employees and coworkers.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations for service jobs and minimize warranty issues through effective management.
  • Vendor Management: Develop relationships with outside vendors to expand our service offerings and qualify and manage relationships with subcontractors.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports to improve the effectiveness of the Field Service team and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Customer Service: Act as a resource to the Outside/Inside Sales team and assist with negotiations, closing sales, and developing on-site plans.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical services role and management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, managerial, and organizational skills, as well as good communication, presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers and coworkers.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills, including ERP systems (ideally SAP) and MS Office Suite.
  • Driver's License and Vehicle: Valid driver's license and vehicle, with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
