Optical Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Technician to join our team at EssilorLuxottica Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment in our lab production area.

• Perform various tasks related to area production machine functions, including interpretation of Rx work tickets and performing production operations on specified equipment.
• Perform basic/routine maintenance of assigned equipment and troubleshoot mal-functioning equipment as needed.
• Prepare all necessary solutions or slurry mixtures for lens production process and ensure sufficient supplies are available.
• Perform daily and weekly calibration of equipment as directed by area supervisor and in accordance with established divisional operation procedures.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of the laboratory to assure understanding and proper application of company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Maintain work area and common areas of department in a neat, clean, and organized condition.
• Understand and follow all company and laboratory policies and procedures, including attendance and safety rules and regulations.
• Provide proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced employees.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to multi-task, orient to detail, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic high school level math skills required.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
