About the Role:

We are seeking a senior-level defense litigation secretary with 8+ years of experience to support busy litigation attorneys. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-oriented, and have a high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calendaring court dates from case initiation through trial and depositions
  • Preparing draft court documents, including complaints, answers, discovery, briefs, motions, and correspondence
  • Revising and finalizing documents for timely service, filing, and delivery
  • Preparing for trials as needed
  • Confirming calendar events
  • Other special projects assigned by the firm

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of California Civil Procedure and Court Rules is required
  • Proficiency in a Windows environment is necessary
  • Typing at least 70 wpm is preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills and a team player spirit are essential
  • Organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly are critical
  • Dependability, reliability, trustworthiness, and motivation are highly valued

Compensation & Benefits:

  • A salary range of $75K to $90K per year is offered
