Job Title: Senior Energy Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Engineer to join our team at Ramboll US Corporation. As a Senior Energy Engineer, you will play a key role in helping our clients achieve their energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals.

About the Role:

This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience in building energy efficiency, energy master planning, and decarbonization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy engineering, project management, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigative energy assessments to identify energy and cost savings measures
  • Perform utility billing and interval data analysis, and energy benchmarking
  • Develop custom spreadsheet calculators and analysis tools
  • Develop construction cost estimates for energy efficiency measures and determine economic results
  • Utilize building energy simulation modeling software to assess savings potential of energy efficiency measures
  • Assess renewable energy potential at client sites
  • Perform Measurement & Verification activities, including data analysis
  • Work with and support company design engineers and construction managers to implement energy efficiency projects
  • Participate in or lead the development of Energy Master Plans and Decarbonization Plans
  • Conduct energy scenario planning and techno/economic modeling analyses to support planning projects
  • Support building commissioning activities
  • Summarize engineering analyses/results in written reports and presentations
  • Support business development activities
  • Mentor and coach junior engineering staff
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering required
  • Certified Energy Manager preferred
  • Professional Engineer preferred
  • MBA/Masters preferred
  • Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience in building energy efficiency, energy master planning, and decarbonization
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Project Management experience or ability to lead projects from conception through completion
