Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Ledgent Finance & Accounting. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for providing support to our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our accounting and recording processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of accounting tasks, including transactional updates and reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, month-end closing journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Ensure the integrity of our accounts receivable reports by reconciling customer payments in a timely manner.
  • Manage customer payment portals for invoice submission and payment coordination.
  • Perform customer invoicing and reconciliation to ensure timely submission of accounts.
  • Monitor aging of vendor accounts to prevent past due payments and ensure timely payments.
  • Manage company cash flow and resource planning to achieve efficiency.
  • Obtain monthly commissions accruals and required payouts to sales representatives and ensure timely commission payments.
  • Collaborate with financial institutions to address banking activity changes, enhancements, and charges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general accounting.
  • Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint and related modules is a plus.
  • General knowledge of GAAP and pertinent tax principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Critical thinking and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and consultatively.
  • Ability to demonstrate efficiency, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Integrity, honesty, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
