Job Summary:

Innisfree Hotels is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain the establishment and hotel equipment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to install new equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment faults on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
  • Maintain order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
  • Inspect equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and conduct routine maintenance.
  • Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment.
  • Removing old equipment and installing new machines.
  • Providing technical support and training on new equipment.
  • Be familiar with all applicable laws and codes to ensure proper compliance.
  • Memorize and monitor life safety system including accurate layout of entire building, locations of standpipes, fire extinguishers, completes alarm reports, and checks and reports any pertinent information from each shift.
  • Provide accurate information to inquirers for directions and hours of operations.
  • Assist guests with door lock and in-room safe problems.
  • Respond to guest complaints, conduct research to develop the most effective solutions.
  • Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Team player.
