Cleaning & Maintenance Associate

Job Overview:

Kimberton Whole Foods Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Cleaning & Maintenance Associate to join our team at Kimberton Whole Foods in Collegeville.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for a skilled professional who can develop interrelated systems and protocols to meet janitorial and maintenance needs of the store.
  • Clean all areas, including floors, glass doors, restrooms, outdoor parking areas, recycling areas, cart area, entry areas, walls, ceilings, windows, screens, HVAC vents, floor moldings, department shelving, under registers, shelf strips, café area, clean and disinfect tables & chairs, trash cardboard, recycling enclosures.
  • Address breakroom needs, empty trash and recycling bins, clean registers, offices, and back-stock areas.
  • Maintain scheduled cooling equipment, including condensers, retail cases, in coordination with departments affected.
  • Assist in maintaining safe entrance and exits during inclement weather.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager on equipment or supply needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health department, OSHA, and other legal guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Able to read product labels, distinguish color and smell for quality control, and communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Lifting, Gripping, and Carrying Objects - up to 50-75 pounds frequently.
  • Stooping, Squatting, and Kneeling - able to stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
  • Walking - short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
  • Standing - prolonged standing.
  • Work Environment - movement-based with majority of time being in motion rather than sedentary.
  • Climate - ability to work in cold environments and handle cold products for extended periods.
