Job Summary:
The School of Counseling at Marymount University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and research in the field of professional counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in the CACREP core, including Foundations of Counseling, Counseling Theories, and Research Methods
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional development
- Contribute to the development of the School of Counseling's research agenda
- Participate in service to the School and University-wide committees
Requirements:
- Ph.D./Ed.D. from a CACREP-accredited program in Counselor Education and Supervision
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching or research in the field of counseling
- LPC or eligible licensure in DC, Virginia, or Maryland
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching and research in the field of counseling
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
